The Energy Ambassadors campaign aims at tackling energy poverty and in helping families in managing their water, heating and electricity consumptions, through the intervention of social workers that will be train on these issues.
The campaign will take place in 9 different European countries : UK, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, France, Greece, Denmark. The direct targets are the social workers and the final targets are the families in difficulties (immigrants, unemployed, families, elderly people etc…). This campaign is composed of different phases:
Phase 1: development of the Energy ambassadors guide et tools in the consortium languages.
Phase 2: the recruitment of the social organisations that want to involve their workers in this issue. The social workers will then follow a specific training to be able to tackle the issue of energy within their day to day work and to become Energy Ambassadors (phase3). Specific tools for social workers and families will be given to help them out with different energy advise. Phase 4: the consortium partner will follow up the energy ambassadors in their day to day work with their specific public. |

- Reaching 180 professionals working at the end of the project: On average, (based on the 10 years French experience) a social worker meets between 150 and 250 people a year.
- After trainings, a minimum of 90 Energy Ambassadors will be enrolled and will spread information on energy savings to their usual contacts, then between 13 500 and 22 500 households with low income or social difficulties are expected to change their behaviour at the end of the project
- 1 complet training and awareness raising tool: in 11 different languages (Spanish, Catalan, Bulgarian, Romanian, Hungarian, French, English, Swedish, Danish, Italian and Greek)
